Job shadow narrative
I did my job shadow my junior year and I job shadowed a CHP deputy from the Porterville CHP station. During my job shadow I went on a ride along and did an office visit as well. I chose to do my job shadow on a CHP because that's what I want to be when I get older.
When I got to the CHP station I walked in and waited till the officer I was job shadowing was ready. As soon as he came out to the lobby he welcomed me to the back where his office was. We sat down and talked about what it is he does he also showed my his taser and his gun. After we were done in his office he took me outside because a lady had came so that he could help her put her baby car seat in the proper way. As soon as he was done we went to the back where all the cars were we went inside his car and caught the highway. While we were on the highway he pulled someone over for speeding and wrote them a ticket. After the ride along we went back to the CHP station and we answered each other's questions.
After my job shadow I am still interested in the job and cant wait till I become a CHP myself. I think I would make a good cop because it fits my personality.
